Preliminary Procedures
- Open the hood and disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
.
- Loosen the air cleaner outlet duct clamp from the air cleaner assembly.

Air Cleaner Assembly Procedure
- Disconnect the electrical wiring harness connector.
- Remove the air cleaner assembly by first pulling upward to release the assembly from the rubber grommets and then pulling outward from the fender.
