Preliminary Procedures If replacing, remove the mass airflow sensor, otherwise disconnect the mass airflow sensor electrical connector. Refer to Mass Airflow Sensor with Intake Air Temperature Sensor Replacement . Disconnect the air cleaner outlet duct from the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (Chevrolet and GMC) Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (Cadillac) .
1	Air Cleaner Assembly Procedure Unclip the MAF harness retainer from the air cleaner housing. Pull upward in a jerking manner in order to disengage the air cleaner housing from the insulators.

Procedure
Unclip the MAF harness retainer from the air cleaner housing. Pull upward in a jerking manner in order to disengage the air cleaner housing from the insulators.
