Preliminary Procedures Remove the front fender. Refer to Front Fender Replacement - Left Side (GMC) Front Fender Replacement - Left Side (Chevrolet) Front Fender Replacement - Left Side (Cadillac) , or Front Fender Replacement - Right Side (GMC) Front Fender Replacement - Right Side (Chevrolet) Front Fender Replacement - Right Side (Cadillac) . Remove the Air Inlet Grille Panel Extension. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Extension Replacement
1	Front Fender Upper Bracket Bolt (Qty: 3) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . NOTE: The bolts are also used to adjust the hood and fender by accessing them through the open side door. For Right hand side bolts they have a special conductive coating and are not to be painted. Tighten 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
2	Front Fender Upper Bracket NOTE: The Right Hand Upper Fender Bracket is a ground for the antenna and has a special conductive coating. This bracket should not be painted and also uses special bolts that have a similar conductive coating.

Remove the Air Inlet Grille Panel Extension. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Extension Replacement

Front Fender Upper Bracket Bolt (Qty: 3)

CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

NOTE:

The bolts are also used to adjust the hood and fender by accessing them through the open side door. For Right hand side bolts they have a special conductive coating and are not to be painted.

Tighten
25 N.m (18 lb ft)
