Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Replacement (LV7)

Callout Component Name

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement (LV7) .
  2. Relieve the fuel pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief .
  3. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  4. Disconnect the fuel feed hose connector from the fuel rail.
  5. Disconnect the connectors (fuel injector, MAP sensor, throttle body, evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve).
1 Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Ground Bolt
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Procedure 
Remove the fuel injection fuel rail assembly ground bolt.
Tighten 
10 N.m (89 lb in)
2 Fuel Rail Retaining Bolt (Qty: 2)
Procedure 
Remove the fuel injection fuel rail assembly bolts.
Tighten 
10 N.m (89 lb in)
3 Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly
Procedure 
Transfer parts as necessary.
