Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Replacement (L5Q)

Callout Component Name

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Relieve the fuel pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief .
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  3. Disconnect the fuel feed hose connector from the fuel rail.
  4. Disconnect the connectors (Fuel Injector, MAP sensor, Throttle body wiring harness)
1 Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Ground Bolt
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Procedure 
Remove the Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Ground Bolt.
Tighten 
9 N.m (80 lb in)
2 Fuel Rail Retaining Bolts (Qty : 2)
Procedure 
Remove the Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Bolts.
Tighten 
9 N.m (80 lb in)
3 Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly
Procedure 
Transfer parts as necessary.
