Starter Replacement (LV7)

Preliminary Procedures Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection . Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle . Remove the exhaust muffler. Refer to Exhaust Muffler Replacement (L5Q) , or Exhaust Muffler Replacement (LV7) . Disconnect the connector. Remove the generator B (+) Nut.
1	Starter Retaining Nut CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Procedure Remove the starter retaining nut. Tighten 58 N.m (43 lb ft)
2	Starter Solenoid B (+) Nut Procedure Remove the starter solenoid B (+) nut. Tighten 17 N.m (13 lb ft)
3	Starter Retaining Bolt Procedure Remove the starter retaining bolt. Tighten 58 N.m (43 lb ft)
4	Engine Wiring Harness Ground Bolt Procedure Remove the engine wiring harness ground bolt. Tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
5	Starter Procedure Transfer parts as necessary.
