Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition ON
  2. Verify that DTC P2008, P2009, P2010, P2015, P2016, or P2017 is not set.
    • Go to next step: If none of the DTCs are set 
  3. Command the Intake Manifold Runner Control Valve between 30 and 80%.
  4. Verify the scan tool the Intake Manifold Runner Control Valve Feedback Signal parameter increases and decreases as commanded.
    • If the Intake Manifold Runner Control Valve Feedback Signal does not increase and decrease 
    1. Ignition Off.
    2. Verify that the Intake Manifold Runner Valve is not stuck - refer to Intake Manifold Cleaning and Inspection
      • If a condition exists, repair or replace as necessary.
    • Go to next step: If the Intake Manifold Runner Control Valve Feedback Signal does increase and decrease 
  5. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTCs. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.

    Verify the DTC does not set.

    • Go to next step: If the DTC does not set 
  6. All OK.
