Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition ON.
  2. Verify that no other DTCs are set.
    • Go to next step: If no other DTCs are set 
  3. Verify the conditions listed below do not exist:
    • Any damaged exhaust system components
    • Loose or improperly installed exhaust system components.
    • Restrictions in the exhaust differential pressure sensor ports.
    • Damaged, bent, restricted, or kinked exhaust differential pressure lines.
    • Induction system leaks.
    • Loose or disconnected charge air cooler system components.
    • If a condition is found 

      Repair as necessary

    • Go to next step: If no condition is found 
  4. Ignition ON.
  5. Verify DTC P2459 is not set.
    • If the DTC is set 
    1. Perform the Diesel Particulate Filter Service Regeneration.
    2. Verify the regeneration completed.
      • If the regeneration did not complete, replace the Diesel Particulate Filter.
      • Go to next step: If the regeneration completed

        Go to next step: All OK.

    • Go to next step: If no DTC is set 
  6. All OK.
