Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Install the nitrogen oxides sensor assembly to the vehicle.
- NOTE:
Do not bend the cable sharply at the base of either the sensing unit or sensor ECU in the final mounting position
Nitrogen Oxides Sensor (2) - Install and tighten 50 N.m (37 lb ft)
- Wiring Harness Retainer (1) - Install [2x]
- Raise the vehicle.

- NOTE:
Do not bend the cable sharply at the base of either the sensing unit or sensor ECU in the final mounting position
Install the nitrogen oxides sensor control module (2).
- Install the 2 nitrogen oxides sensor control module nuts (1) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
Wiring Harness Retainer (1, 3) - Install [2x]
- Connect the electrical connector. (2)
- Front Bumper Fascia - Install - Front Bumper Fascia Replacement
- Lower the vehicle.
- Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
- Perform the NOx Catalyst Reductant Loading Reset procedure. NOx Catalyst Reductant Loading Reset
- If replacing component with new, use GDS2 to perform a NOx Sensor 1 Reset. NOx Sensor 1 Reset
