Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Install the nitrogen oxides sensor assembly to the vehicle.

    NOTE:

    Do not bend the cable sharply at the base of either the sensing unit or sensor ECU in the final mounting position

    Nitrogen Oxides Sensor (2) - Install and tighten 50 N.m (37 lb ft)

  3. Wiring Harness Retainer (1) - Install [2x]
  4. Raise the vehicle.

    NOTE:

    Do not bend the cable sharply at the base of either the sensing unit or sensor ECU in the final mounting position

    Install the nitrogen oxides sensor control module (2).

  7. Install the 2 nitrogen oxides sensor control module nuts (1) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

    Wiring Harness Retainer (1, 3) - Install [2x]

  9. Connect the electrical connector. (2)
  10. Front Bumper Fascia - Install - Front Bumper Fascia Replacement
  11. Lower the vehicle.
  12. Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  13. Perform the NOx Catalyst Reductant Loading Reset procedure. NOx Catalyst Reductant Loading Reset 
  14. If replacing component with new, use GDS2 to perform a NOx Sensor 1 Reset. NOx Sensor 1 Reset
