Installation Procedure

- Fuel Level Sensor Replacement - Install
- NOTE:
Pay attention to the fuel level sensor.
Install a NEW fuel pump module seal (3).
- Fuel Tank Fuel Pump Module (2) - Install
- Install the fuel tank fuel pump module lock ring (1).
- NOTE:
The fuel pump module lock ring fits only in one position, pay attention for the mounting position.
Install the CH-45722 Main Fuel Pump Locking Ring Remover/Installer (1) to the fuel pump module lock ring (2).
- Using the CH-45722 Main Fuel Pump Locking Ring Remover/Installer (1) and a long breaker-bar, rotate the lock ring clockwise direction in order to lock the lock ring.
Connect the electrical connector:
- Fuel Tank Fuel Pump Module (1)
- Fuel Pressure Sensor (2)
- Fuel Feed Intermediate Pipe Replacement - Install
- Fuel Return Rear Pipe Replacement - Fuel Pump Module to Underbody - Install
- Fuel Tank Replacement - Install
NOTE:
Do NOT use impact tools. Significant force will be required to release the lock ring. The use of a hammer and screwdriver is not recommended. Secure the fuel tank in order to prevent fuel tank rotation.
