Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
Apply NEW engine oil to the NEW seal ring (1) to the metering valve.
- NOTE:
Ensure the correct fitting.
Install a NEW fuel injection pump metering valve seal ring (1) to the fuel injection pump sealing surface (2).
Install the fuel injection pump metering valve (3) to the fuel injection pump.
- Check the correct fitting.
- Install the 2 fuel injection pump metering valve bolts (1) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
- Connect the fuel injection pump metering valve electrical connector (2).
- Install the exhaust front pipe. Refer to Exhaust Front Pipe Replacement (1.6L Diesel LH7) .
- Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
- Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
- After the replacement of the fuel injection pump metering valve use a scan tool to perform the appropriate reset function. Refer to Control Module References .
- Check the fuel injection pump metering valve for leak. Refer to Fuel Leak Diagnosis .
