Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  2. Front Wheelhouse Liner - Right Side - Remove - Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement

    CAUTION:

    Do not bend the exhaust flex pipe more than 10 degrees in any direction. Bending of more than 10 degrees or twisting in a range of ± 0.5 degrees will damage the exhaust flex decoupler.

    Disconnect the electrical connector. (2)

  4. Wiring Harness Clip (5) - Remove [2x]
  5. Exhaust Particulate Sensor Fastener (1) - Remove [2x]
  6. NOTE:

    Secure the exhaust particulate sensor control module from falling down in order to prevent a defect on the control module.

  7. Remove the exhaust particulate sensor control module (3) from the bracket (4).

    Wiring Harness Clip (1) - Remove

    NOTE:

    Do NOT bend the cable sharply at the base of either the sensing unit or sensor ECU in the final mounting position.

    Exhaust Particulate Sensor (1) - Remove
