Removal Procedure

- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
- Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
- Exhaust Front Pipe - Position aside - Exhaust Front Pipe Replacement (1.6L Diesel LH7)
Remove the turbocharger wastegate actuator pipe from the 2 retainer clips (1).
- Remove the turbocharger wastegate actuator pipe from the turbocharger wastegate actuator vacuum control solenoid valve (2).
- Remove the turbocharger wastegate actuator pipe from the exhaust gas recirculation vacuum regulator solenoid valve (3).

Fuel Return Front Pipe (2) @ Fuel Injection Pump - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
- Close all connections with suitable closure plugs.
- Disconnect the electrical connector:
- Engine Oil Pressure Switch (3)
- Fuel Injection Pump (9)
- Starter (8)
- Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve (6)
- Wiring Harness Clip (4) - Remove
- Hang the wiring harness (7) aside.
- Remove the 2 turbocharger wastegate actuator pipe bracket bolts (1, 5)
Remove the turbocharger wastegate actuator pipe (1).
- Remove and DISCARD the turbocharger wastegate actuator pipe seal (2).
