Installation Procedure
- Prepare the NEW brake pipe for the installation. Refer to Brake Pipe Replacement .
- Position and pre-install the brake pipe to the vehicle. Do not tighten.
Brake Pipe (2)@Retainer (3) - Connect
- Remove the caps from the brake pipe and hose fittings.
- Front Brake Pipe Fitting (1) - Tighten 20 N.m (15 lb ft)
Brake Pipe (2)@Retainer (1) - Connect
- Remove the cap from the EBM brake pipe inlet port.
- Remove the cap from the brake pipe fitting.
- Brake Pipe Fitting (3) - Tighten 20 N.m (15 lb ft)
Radiator Surge Tank (1) - Install
- Radiator Surge Tank Clip (2) - Install
- Install the left front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
- Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding
CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
WARNING:
Make sure brake pipes are correctly connected to brake pressure modulator valve. If brake pipes are switched by mistake, wheel lockup will occur and personal injury may result. The only two ways this condition can be detected are by using a Scan Tool or by doing an Antilock stop.
