Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement

Preliminary Procedure Open the hood.
1	Windshield Wiper Arm Finish Cap Procedure Using a flat balded tool, remove the cap from the wiper arm.
2	Windshield Wiper Arm Nut CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 30 N.m (22 lb ft)
3	Windshield Wiper Arm CAUTION: To avoid breakage of the windshield, protect the surrounding area of the part which you are removing or installing. Procedure Use the J 39822 Wiper Arm Puller to remove the wiper arm from the wiper motor pivot shaft. Clean the pivot shaft splines with a soft wire brush. Grasp the rear of the wiper arm, place the arm over the pivot shaft. Align the tip of the wiper blade to the small transparent circle in the lower center windshield blackout area. Install the windshield wiper arm nut. Cycle the wiper arm with a spray of windshield washer solvent, PARK the wiper arms and re-check the alignment of the wiper blade tip to the windshield transparent circle.
