Installation Procedure

  1. GM2772378

    Install a NEW fuel tank fuel pump module O-ring gasket (1) to the fuel tank fuel pump module (2).

  2. GM2772310

    Lower the fuel pump module (2) into the fuel tank while connecting the fuel tank vent pipe (1) to the fuel pump module. Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 

  3. GM2770610

    Install the fuel tank fuel pump module lock ring (1) to the fuel tank (2).

  4. Using the CH-45722  Fuel Pump Locking Ring Wrench and a long breaker-bar, rotate the fuel pump module lock ring (1) in a clockwise direction in order to lock the lock ring.
  5. Install the EVAP system hoses. Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  6. Install the fuel feed pipe. Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  7. Connect the electrical connector.
  8. Install the fuel sender assembly. Fuel Sender Assembly Replacement (AWD) 
  9. Install the fuel tank. Fuel Tank Replacement (FWD) Fuel Tank Replacement (AWD)
