Removal Procedure

Refer to Safety Goggles and Fuel Warning .

CAUTION:

Clean all fuel pipe and hose connections and surrounding areas before disassembling to avoid possible contamination of the fuel system. Spray the fuel pump module cam-lock ring tang with penetrating oil prior to attempting removal.

  1. Intake Manifold Cover Replacement - Remove
  2. Fuel Feed Front Pipe Replacement , - Disconnect - Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  3. GM4258678

    Fuel Feed Pipe (1) @ Retainer (2) - Remove [2x]

  4. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  5. GM4111072

    Underbody Cross Sill Shield Nut (1) - Remove [2x]

  6. Underbody Cross Sill Shield (2) - Remove
  7. GM4111062

    Parking Brake Cable Nut (1) - Remove

  8. Parking Brake Cable (2) - Remove
  9. GM4111068

    Fuel Tank Protector Nut (1) - Remove [3x]

  10. Fuel Tank Protector (2) - Remove
  11. GM4111085

    Fuel Feed Pipe (1) @ Fuel Feed Pipe (2) - - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

  12. Fuel Feed Pipe (1) @ Retainer (2) - Remove [5x]
