Conditions for Setting the DTC

The ECM detects that there is a 60°C (140 °F) or greater temperature difference between the start-up Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor, Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor and the Radiator Coolant Temperature (RCT) sensor.
OR
The ECM detects the start-up Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor is between 16°C (61°F) and 60°C (140°F) warmer than the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor and Radiator Coolant Temperature (RCT) sensor when the engine is cranking for less than 10 s.
OR
The ECM detects the start-up Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor is at least 16°C (61°F) colder than the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor and Radiator Coolant Temperature (RCT) sensor.
OR
The ECM detects the start-up Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor is 16°C (61°F) warmer than the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor and Radiator Coolant Temperature (RCT) sensor when the engine is cranking without starting for greater than 10 s.
