WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2018 Buick Encore. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Verify that DTC P00B3, P00B4, P0111, P0112, P0113, P0114, P0117, P0118, P0128, P0601, P112F, P1621, or P2610 are not set.
- If DTC P00B3, P00B4, P0111, P0112, P0113, P0114, P0117, P0118, P0128, P0601, P112F, P1621, or P2610 are set
Refer to DTC P0112, P0113, or P0114 .
- Go to next step: If DTC P00B3, P00B4, P0111, P0112, P0113, P0114, P0117, P0118, P0128, P0601, P112F, P1621, or P2610 are not set
- If DTC P00B3, P00B4, P0111, P0112, P0113, P0114, P0117, P0118, P0128, P0601, P112F, P1621, or P2610 are set
- Ignition OFF for a minimum of 8 hours.
- Ignition ON, observe scan tool parameters IAT Sensor 1, Radiator Coolant Temperature Sensor and the ECT Sensor and verify they are within 15°C (59°F) of each other and ambient temperature.
- If the Radiator Coolant Temperature Sensor parameter is not within 15°C (59°F) of the ECT Sensor and IAT Sensor 1 or ambient temperature.
Perform the diagnostic for DTC P00B3 or P00B4, Refer to DTC P0112, P0113, or P0114 .
- If the IAT Sensor 1 parameter is not within 15°C (59°F) of the ECT Sensor and Radiator Coolant Temperature Sensor or ambient temperature.
Perform the diagnostic for DTC P0112, P0113, or P0114, Refer to DTC P0112, P0113, or P0114 .
- If the ECT Sensor parameter is not within 15°C (59°F) of the IAT Sensor 1 and Radiator Coolant Temperature Sensor or ambient temperature.
Refer to Circuit/System Testing.
- Go to next step: If all the parameters are within 15°C (59°F) of each other and ambient temperature.
- If the Radiator Coolant Temperature Sensor parameter is not within 15°C (59°F) of the ECT Sensor and IAT Sensor 1 or ambient temperature.
- Ignition OFF.
- Verify the cooling system is filled to the correct coolant level. Refer to Cooling System Leak Testing
, and Cooling System Draining and Filling
.
- If the coolant level is not filled to the correct level
Repair as necessary.
- Go to next step: If the coolant level is correct
- If the coolant level is not filled to the correct level
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
- Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets
Refer to Circuit/System Testing.
- Go to next step: If the DTC does not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
