Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the engine oil. Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement 
  2. Exhaust Front Pipe Replacement (LUV)Exhaust Front Pipe Replacement (2H0)Exhaust Front Pipe Replacement (LE2) - Remove
  3. GM4117771

    Remove the transmission bolts.(1)

  4. Remove the cover.(2)
  5. If equipped with AWD, remove the rear transmission mount bracket. Transmission Mount Bracket Replacement - Rear (All Wheel Drive)Transmission Mount Bracket Replacement - Rear (Front Wheel Drive)
  6. GM3974091

    Disconnect the electrical connector.(1)

  7. Lower Oil Pan Replacement  - Remove
  8. GM4008741

    Disconnect the electrical connector.(1)

  9. GM3973630
    NOTE:

    Mark the position of the oil pan bolts because of different length.

    Remove the oil pan bolts.(1, 2, 3)

  10. For part transfer, cleaning and inspection Oil Pan Cleaning and Inspection .
