Installation Procedure
- NOTE:
- The lower crankcase surface must be free of contamination prior to applying the sealer.
- Install and align the oil pan to block within 10 minutes of applying the sealer.
- The oil pan must be fastened to final torque specification within 60 minutes of applying the sealer.
Apply a 4.25 mm bead of sealer (1) on the level part of the flange around the perimeter of the oil pan (2) as shown. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers .
- NOTE:
Ensure that the different length bolts are installed in the same positions from which they were removed.
NOTE:When installing the oil pan, carefully align the oil pan to the locating pins and install the pan onto the lower crankcase.
Coat the oil pan bolts (1) (2) and (3) with sealant prior to installation. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Loosely install the oil pan bolts.(1, 2, 3)
- CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
NOTE:Inspect for excessive sealer around the oil filter mounting area. If extra sealer is present remove and clean accordingly.
Tighten the oil pan bolts in sequence.10 N.m (89 lb in).
- If equipped with AWD, install the rear transmission mount bracket. Transmission Mount Bracket Replacement - Rear (All Wheel Drive)Transmission Mount Bracket Replacement - Rear (Front Wheel Drive)
Install the cover.(2)
- Bolt(1) - Install and tighten[3x]58 N.m (43 lb ft)
Connect the electrical connector.(1)
- Lower Oil Pan Replacement - Install
Connect the electrical connector.(1)

- Change the engine oil and filter. Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement
