Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the engine oil. Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement 
  2. GM3973482

    Lower Oil Pan Bolt(1) - Remove[12x]

    3. CAUTION:

    Always replace the used oil pan with a new oil pan. The lower oil pan becomes damaged during removal and oil leaks may occur if it is not replaced with a new oil pan.

  3. Lower Oil Pan(2) - Remove and DISCARD
  4. Clean and inspect all mating surfaces. Oil Pan Cleaning and Inspection
