Installation Procedure

  1. GM3982688
    NOTE:

    Used lash adjuster arms must be returned to the original position on the camshaft. If the camshaft is being replaced, the lash adjuster arms actuated by the camshaft must also be replaced.

    Apply lubricant to the valve tips. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers 

  2. Position the 16 hydraulic lash adjuster arms (1) on the tip of the valve stems and on the lash adjusters.
  3. Apply lubricant to the 16 hydraulic lash adjuster arms (1). Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers 
  4. Exhaust Camshaft Replacement  - Install
  5. Intake Camshaft Replacement  - Install
