Camshaft Cap Bore Measurement

  1. Install the camshaft bearing cap in the cylinder head without the camshaft.
    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Install the camshaft cap bolts and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
  3. Measure the camshaft cap bores using an inside micrometer, refer to Engine Mechanical Specifications  for camshaft cap bore diameter.
  4. If camshaft cap bores do not meet specification the cylinder head must be replaced.
