Preliminary Procedures

Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
Remove the radiator surge tank, and reposition the radiator surge tank out of the way. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LUV, 2H0) Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LE2) .
Disconnect the electrical connectors.
