CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
CAUTION:
Alternately loosen the fuel pump bolts one turn at a time until the pump is fully disengaged from fuel pump lifter follower. Trying to remove the pump bolts without even side-to-side loosening may result in pump plunger damage Tighten 25 N.m (18 lb ft) |
| 2 | Fuel Pump Cover Procedure Slide the fuel pump cover rearward to remove it from the fuel pump.
NOTE:
A NEW fuel pump gasket and a NEW fuel feed intermediate pipe should be installed if the fuel pump is removed from the engine. |
