Removal Procedure

  1. Relieve the fuel system pressure -Fuel Pressure Relief .
  2. Remove -Fuel Pump Insulator Replacement .

    NOTE:

    Applying force to the plastic housing of the sensor may damage the sensor. To tighten or loosen, apply force only to the attached hexagon.

  4. Disconnect Electrical Connector (1) @Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Fuel Pressure Sensor (2).
  5. NOTE:

    Some fuel may leak from the fuel injection fuel rail fuel pressure sensor orifice after the sensor is removed. Dry the area around this orifice after the removal of the sensor using a lint free cloth and inspect the fuel injection fuel rail fuel pressure sensor sealing surface. The surface should be free of fuel, debris, and burrs.

  6. Remove Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Fuel Pressure Sensor (2) @Fuel Injection Fuel Rail (2) and DISCARD
