Installation Procedure

    NOTE:

    Applying force to the plastic housing of the sensor may damage the sensor. To tighten or loosen, apply force only to the attached hexagon.

    NOTE:

    Ensure the fuel rail threads are clean and free of any excess fuel, or the fuel injection fuel rail fuel pressure sensor will NOT seal properly.

  1. Lubricate the threads and sealing surface of the NEW fuel injection fuel rail fuel pressure sensor with one drop of clean engine oil.
  2. Install the NEW fuel injection fuel rail fuel pressure sensor (2) and hand tighten.
  3. Remove Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Fuel Pressure Sensor (2) @Fuel Injection Fuel Rail (3) and re-lubricate with one drop of clean engine oil.
  4. Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Fuel Pressure Sensor (2) @Fuel Injection Fuel Rail (3) and tighten 33 N.m (24 lb ft)
  5. Connect Electrical Connector (1) @Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Fuel Pressure Sensor (2).
  6. NOTE:

    If a fuel leak occurs at the fuel rail, the fuel rail will need to be replaced.

  7. Pressurize the fuel system and inspect for leaks.
  8. Install Fuel Pump Insulator Replacement .
