Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2018 GMC Yukon XL, 2018 GMC Yukon, 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2018 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2018 Cadillac Escalade ESV. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:

Clean all fuel and evaporative emission (EVAP) line connections and surrounding areas prior to disconnecting the lines in order to avoid possible fuel and/or EVAP system contamination.

  1. Lower the transmission enough to access the upper line fasteners and retainers. Transmission Replacement , for the 6L80 or Transmission Replacement for the 8L90.
  2. Fig 1: Fuel Feed And EVAP Hose Nut

  3. Remove the fuel feed and EVAP hose nut (1).
  4. Disconnect the fuel hose (2) from the fuel rail. Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  5. Disconnect the EVAP hose (3) from the EVAP canister purge tube. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  6. Remove the fuel feed and EVAP hose (4) from the retainers.

  8. Disconnect the EVAP hose (1) from the EVAP pipe. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  9. Disconnect the fuel hose (2) from the fuel pipe. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  10. Disconnect the fuel pressure sensor electrical connector.
  11. Remove the fuel feed and EVAP hose (3) from the retainers and remove from vehicle.
