Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable from the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Dual Battery)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery) .
  2. Remove Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement - Accessory .
  3. Fig 1: Camshaft Position Sensor Bracket Fasteners And Engine Block

  4. Remove the camshaft position sensor bracket fasteners (1) from the engine block.
  5. Carefully reposition the bracket aside and remove the camshaft position sensor from the engine front cover with the harness attached.

  7. Disconnect the camshaft position sensor electrical connector (3) from the camshaft position sensor (1).
