Lower Oil Pan Replacement

Preliminary Procedures Remove the drivetrain and front suspension frame front crossmember. Refer to Drivetrain and Front Suspension Frame Front Crossmember Replacement . Drain the engine oil. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement .
1	Lower Oil Pan Bolt (Qty: 10) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 10 N.m (89 lb in)
2	Lower Oil Pan NOTE: If lower oil pan is removed, it must be replaced. The lower oil pan is not reusable. Replace with NEW. Procedure For cleaning and inspection, refer to Oil Pan Cleaning and Inspection Apply a 3 mm (0.118 in) bead of RTV sealant on the lower oil pan to engine mating surface. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers .

10 N.m (89 lb in)

Lower Oil Pan

NOTE:

If lower oil pan is removed, it must be replaced. The lower oil pan is not reusable. Replace with NEW.

Procedure

For cleaning and inspection, refer to Oil Pan Cleaning and Inspection
Apply a 3 mm (0.118 in) bead of RTV sealant on the lower oil pan to engine mating surface. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers .
