Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the engine oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement .
  2. Fig 1: Crankshaft Oil Deflector Fasteners

  3. Remove the crankshaft oil deflector fasteners (1) from the oil pan and remove the crankshaft oil deflector (2).

  5. Remove the clip (1) securing the oil level switch connector (2).

  7. Remove the oil level switch fasteners (1) then remove the oil level switch (2) from the oil pan.
  8. Inspect the oil level switch seal (3) for damage and replace as needed upon installation of the switch.
