Cleaning Procedure

  1. Remove and discard the intake manifold-to-cylinder head gaskets (1).
    2. Fig 2: Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor Bolt, MAP sensor and Seal

  2. Remove the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor bolt (1), MAP sensor (2), and seal (3).
  3. Remove the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge solenoid valve bolt (5), EVAP canister purge solenoid valve (6), and seal (7).
  4. Clean the intake manifold in solvent.
    5. WARNING:

    Refer to Safety Glasses and Compressed Air Warning .

  5. Dry the intake manifold with compressed air.
