Callout Component Name
1 Fuel Rail Insulator
2 Direct Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly
    CAUTION:

Make sure the fuel injectors are free from debris and lubricant. Lubricant can burn and ruin the fuel injector seals.

  • CAUTION:

The fuel rail assemblies must be drawn down evenly before final torque. Failure to draw down the fuel rail assemblies evenly may result in scoring of the lifter bores.

NOTE:
  • If re-using injectors be sure to replace lower compression seals.
  • Do not lubricate the combustion seals when replacing.
  • Clean the holes in the cylinder head of any debris or residual fastener thread sealant. Failing to do so can cause the bolts not to reach proper torque and/or clamp load.

Refer to Fuel Rail and Injectors Cleaning and Inspection .
3 Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Bolt
NOTE:

Clean the threads and apply a threadlocker.

Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers .
