3	Reaction Carrier Hub Retaining Ring WARNING: Ensure the reaction carrier hub retaining ring is fully seated before rotating the rotating clutch, gear, and shaft shell assembly. If the retaining ring is not fully seated, the assembly may separate as it is being rotated, which could result in component damage or bodily injury. Procedure Install the ring from the bottom up, try to lift the shell upwards to ensure the ring is fully seated. Rotate the assembly so the long shaft is pointing up, then ensure that the NEW retaining ring is fully seated.

WARNING:

Ensure the reaction carrier hub retaining ring is fully seated before rotating the rotating clutch, gear, and shaft shell assembly. If the retaining ring is not fully seated, the assembly may separate as it is being rotated, which could result in component damage or bodily injury.

Procedure

Install the ring from the bottom up, try to lift the shell upwards to ensure the ring is fully seated.
Rotate the assembly so the long shaft is pointing up, then ensure that the NEW retaining ring is fully seated.
