Component Testing

  1. Ignition Off, disconnect the harness connector at the S3 Transmission Shift Lever.
  2. Test for infinite resistance between terminal 1 and terminal 2 of the S3 Transmission Shift Lever.
    • If less than infinite resistance 

      Replace the S3 Transmission Shift Lever.

    • Go to next step: If infinite resistance 
  3. Test for less than 1 Ω between terminal 1 and terminal 2 of the S3 Transmission Shift Lever, while holding down the S74 Tow/Haul Mode Switch.
    • If 1 Ω or greater 

      Replace the S3 Transmission Shift Lever.

    • Go to next step: If less than 1 Ω 
  4. All OK.
