Installation Procedure

  1. Clean the thread of the automatic transmission case plug (1) with a wire bristle brush.
  2. Once the correct fluid level is achieved, apply sealant to the top outer 3 to 4 threads of the case plug near the plug head. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .

  3. Install the transmission case plug (1) and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).
  4. Check the transmission fluid level and fill if necessary. Transmission Fluid Level and Condition Check .
  5. Lower the vehicle.
