Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (6-Lug Wheel)Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (8-Lug Wheel) .
  3. Remove the front brake rotor. Refer to Front Brake Rotor Replacement (JD9)Front Brake Rotor Replacement (J95) .
  4. Disconnect the front wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
  5. Release the front wheel speed sensor harness electrical connector (1) from the brake hose bracket.

  6. Release the front wheel speed sensor harness retainers (2).
  7. Clean the front wheel speed sensor area on the wheel hub and bearing assembly of any accumulated dirt and debris.

  8. Remove the front wheel speed sensor bolt (1).
  9. Remove the front wheel speed sensor assembly from the wheel hub and bearing assembly by pulling straight out.
