Installation Procedure

- Install a plug into the wheel speed sensor hole in the wheel hub and bearing assembly.
- Thoroughly clean the wheel speed sensor mounting pad on the wheel hub and bearing assembly of any accumulated dirt, grease and debris.
- Apply a light coat of wheel speed sensor anti-corrosion grease to the wheel speed sensor and mounting pad on the wheel hub and bearing assembly. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants and Sealers
- Install the front wheel speed sensor assembly to the wheel hub and bearing assembly.
- Install the front wheel speed sensor bolt (1) and tighten to 13 N.m (115 lb in).CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
- Secure the front wheel speed sensor harness retainers (2).
- Secure the front wheel speed sensor harness electrical connector (1) to the brake hose bracket.
- Connect the front wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
- Install the front brake rotor. Refer to Front Brake Rotor Replacement (JD9)Front Brake Rotor Replacement (J95) .
- Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (6-Lug Wheel)Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (8-Lug Wheel) .
- Perform the diagnostic system check. Refer to Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle .
