Procedure Description
Components
- Q8 Control Solenoid Valve Assembly
- K71 Transmission Control Module
The Transmission Service Fast Learn Procedure for the CVT automatic transmission consists of two parts. The first part is an automated version of the Transmission Adaptive Pressure Reset Procedure, which is used to synchronize the transmission control module with the ROM assembly in the transmission. The second part consists of a series of tests which are run to allow the transmission control module (TCM) to learn individual clutch characteristics. Once the clutch data is learned, the procedure translates it into the adaptive data cells which the TCM uses for clutch control during shifts. The scan tool provides initiation of the Transmission Service Fast Learn procedure. This procedure is to be used following transmission repairs.
