Circuit/System Verification

- Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode & Engine - Off Transmission in Park
- Verify that all of the following scan tool parameters: = OK or Not Run
- Auxiliary Transmission Fluid Pump Relay Control Circuit High Voltage Test Status
- Auxiliary Transmission Fluid Pump Relay Control Circuit Low Voltage Test Status
- Auxiliary Transmission Fluid Pump Relay Control Circuit Open Test Status
- If any of the parameters do NOT display OK
Refer to: Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If all of the parameters display OK
- Perform the scan tool control function: Auxiliary Transmission Fluid Pump Command - On and Off
Verify the component turns On and Off: G5 Transmission Fluid Pump - Electric/Auxiliary
- If the component does not turn On and Off
- Refer to: Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If the component turns On and Off
- Perform the scan tool control function: Auxiliary Transmission Fluid Pump Relay Command - On and Off
Verify a click can be heard or felt at the component when the scan tool control function was commanded:
- If a click cannot be heard or felt

- Go to next step: If a click can be heard or felt
- If a click cannot be heard or felt
- Verify DTC P2796, P2797, P2799 is only set as a history DTC.
- If any of the DTCs are set as current

- Go to next step: If any of the DTCs are only set as history
Go to next step: Refer to: Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections
- If any of the DTCs are set as current
- Clear DTCs
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
- If any of the DTCs are set

- Go to next step: If none of the DTCs are set
- If any of the DTCs are set
- All OK.
