Shift Shaft and Fork Assemblies Cleaning and Inspection

Thoroughly clean the shift shaft and shift fork assemblies with clean solvent and air dry.
Inspect the shift shafts for excessive wear, fractures, or distortion.
Inspect the shift forks and fork inserts for excessive wear or damage.
Replace the shift shaft and fork assemblies if excessive wear or damage is found.
NOTE:
The shift fork assemblies are not serviceable. If damage to the shafts or forks is found, replace the entire shift fork assembly.
