General - Fuel System

Observe the relevant safety regulations and national legislation for health and work safety regulations regarding explosive and flammable materials.
Perform work on the open fuel system in a well ventilated work area only.
When working on the open fuel system, danger signs are to be set up.
When working on the open fuel system, fires and open light are prohibited in the closer environment - Keep away ignition sources and avoid sparks.
Never drain fuel tanks over or near workshop pits. Fuel vapors are heavier than air and collect at the bottom of the pit - risk of suffocation and danger of explosion.
During all operations in the engine compartment, remember that the radiator fan can switch on - risk of injury!
Never touch high-voltage live components (such as ignition system or xenon lamps) - danger to life!
Before operations involving a risk of electrical short circuit, the ground cable must be disconnected from the battery.
Never tighten fuel lines to brake lines, movable components or sharp edges.
Never tighten wiring to fuel lines.
