Safety Regulations for Brake Systems: General

Operations on the braking system may only be performed by certified, qualified personnel only. This is assured at all GM certified dealerships.
Before performing operations involving a risk of an electrical short circuit, the battery negative cable must be disconnected.
After completing any repairs or replacement on braking systems, a functional check must be performed and the brake efficiency must be checked.
Never use aftermarket brake disc covers, disregarding this will cause a malfunction of the brake system due to overheating.
