Removal Procedure

  1. Ensure that the park brake lever is in the fully released position.
  2. Remove the front floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement .
  3. Release the tension from the park brake cables. Using ONLY HAND TOOL, loosen the adjusting nut (1) completely to the end of the park brake cable threaded rod.

  4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the park brake indicator switch.
  5. Disconnect the left and right park brake cables (1) from the park brake cable equalizer (2).

  6. Remove the park brake lever nuts (1).

  7. Remove the park brake lever assembly (2) from the vehicle.
