Installation Procedure

  1. Install the rear shock absorber (1) to the vehicle.

  2. Install the rear suspension strut bolts (1) and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).

    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  3. Raise and support the rear axle with a hydraulic jack stand.
  4. Install the rear shock absorber strut to rear axle retaining bolt (1) and tighten to 58 N.m (43 lb ft) + 30 - 45 degrees.

  5. Remove the hydraulic jack stand from the vehicle.
  6. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  7. Lower the vehicle.
