Component Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the B153 Seat Belt Buckle - Passenger.
  2. Buckle the passenger seat belt.
  3. Test for infinite resistance between the signal circuit terminal 2 and the low reference circuit terminal 1.
    • If less than infinite resistance 

      Replace the B153 Seat Belt Buckle - Passenger.

    • If infinite resistance 
  4. B88 seat belt switch in the unbuckled position.
  5. Test for less than 2 Ω between the signal circuit terminal 2 and the low reference terminal 1.
    • If 2 Ω or greater 

      Replace the B153 Seat Belt Buckle - Passenger.

    • If less than 2 Ω 
  6. All OK.
