Circuit/System Verification

  1. With RPO AJ3, ignition ON, observe the scan tool Driver Seat Belt Status parameter while buckling and unbuckling the driver seat belt. The value should change from Unbuckled to Buckled.
    • If the values do not change, refer to Seat Belt Switch Malfunction (With RPO AJ3).
  2. With RPO AJ3, command the Driver Seat Belt Reminder ON and OFF with a scan tool, the seat belt indicator should turn ON and OFF while changing between the commanded states.
    • If the indicator is always ON or always OFF, refer to Driver Seat Belt Indicator Malfunction (With RPO AJ3).
  3. Without RPO AJ3, ignition ON, observe the seat belt indicator while buckling and unbuckling the driver seat belt. The indicator should turn ON and OFF as the seat belt is buckled and unbuckled.
    • If the indicator is always ON or always OFF, refer to Seat Belt Switch Malfunction (Without RPO AJ3).
