Vacuum Pump Installation

Preliminary Procedure Ensure all passages of the vacuum pump are clean and free of debris prior to installation.
1	Vacuum Pump Gasket NOTE: Use a NEW gasket. Ensure the mating surfaces are clean and free of debris.
2	Vacuum Pump Assembly NOTE: Ensure the 2 locating pins are present and aligned to the cylinder head during installation. Ensure the vacuum pump drive is aligned with the end of the camshaft. The pump should sit flush to the cylinder head before installing the bolts.
3	Vacuum Pump Assembly Bolt (Qty: 3) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Procedure Tighten the vacuum pump bolts in the sequence shown. Tighten the vacuum pump bolts a first pass to 15 N.m (11 lb ft). Tighten the vacuum pump bolts a final pass to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
