Fuel Rail and Injectors Cleaning and Inspection (L5Q)

Preliminary Procedure 
NOTE:

Do NOT soak or submerge the fuel rail or injectors in solvent.


Clean the exterior of the fuel rail and injectors with solvent.
1 Multiport Fuel Injection Fuel Rail

Procedure

  1. Inspect for damage, debris, or restrictions to the fuel rail and fuel ports.
  2. Inspect for damage to the mounting area for the fuel rail.
  3. Inspect for damage to the fuel rail mounting bolts.
  4. Inspect for damage to the fuel rail fuel feed fitting.
2 Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Seal (Qty: 3)

Procedure

  1. Lubricate the NEW O-ring with one drop of clean engine oil.
  2. Install the O-ring.
3 Fuel Injector Retainer (Qty: 3)
4 Multiport Fuel Injector (Qty: 3)

Procedure

  1. Inspect for damage to the harness connector.
  2. Inspect the fuel injector tip and seal locations.
5 Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Seal (Qty: 3)
